CityPark
Transforming an Office Park into a Vibrant Walkable, Mixed-Use Community
When Boyle Investment Co. decided to convert an automobile-dominated office park into a vibrant, walkable, mixed-use development, the developer tapped Crain Construction as the general contractor to help revive the property.
We built 40,000 square feet of retail and restaurant space, sidewalks and other infrastructure in the heart of Brentwood next to the well-traveled Franklin corridor. During the construction process, our crews worked diligently to minimize disruption to the daytime office population and the 400 nearby apartment residents.
Project highlights
- Six new retail buildings were built with outdoor dining areas along the main entrance to CityPark.
- New pedestrian friendly streets with on-street parking improve connectivity.
- Partial demo to existing structure to make space for a new hotel on the property.
- Upgraded retention pond and some existing sidewalks near businesses.
